Freedom of Information
Festival City Theatres Trust and the Act
The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 (“the Act”) enables any person to obtain information from Scottish public authorities.
This legal right of access includes all types of ‘recorded’ information held by Scottish public authorities. From 1st January 2005 any person who makes a request for information must be provided with it, subject to certain conditions. Festival City Theatres Trust became a designated public authority and subject to the Act in April 2014.
The Act also places an obligation on all Scottish public authorities to adopt and maintain a 'Publication Scheme'.
Our Scheme is available to view here. To view this document you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader. This Reader can be downloaded for free from the Adobe web site.
